About Me

Hi, I'm Natasha Wahi (she/her) MA, LMHC, LPC, NBCC

I am Natasha Wahi, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology & geography at The University of British Columbia Kelowna, in British Columbia. After several years in various fields, and in working with the homeless populations I was finally led back to pursue my long-awaited goal into the mental health field where I earned my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University Seattle, Washington.
I am an anti-racist, intersectional, and relational therapist who works from a culturally competent framework to create a non-judgmental space that welcomes all identities. I am a multilingual Indo-Canadian cisgender woman working in America. While being born and brought up for a brief period of my childhood in Al-Ain, UAE, the experience of growing up in several different countries has impacted and significantly had an influence on my perception around my cultural identity crisis that I had to deal with as an individual (and still to some extent continue to deal with). This was not only crucial in helping me understand what my identity meant to me but also how my identity played a role in society, especially while navigating being a South Asian woman. Coming from such a rich culture that is still facing stigma around mental health, I wanted to become a voice that could help others see how beneficial the process of therapy can be. I am a strong promoter in breaking the stigma around mental health within the South Asian and other oppressed BIPOC communities, as I have had the privilege to witness its effect on myself and others like me.

Outside of my career...

Well, outside of my day-to-day in serving clients and running my own business, you can find me either walking and entertaining the love of my life, Simba – my Yellow Lab Retriever and my personal therapy assistant. Beyond that I like to stay active and busy (but not always) at the gym, hiking breathtaking mountains with some spectacular views, café hoping (always in need of my caffeine fix), creating a new song playlist (definitely believe this to be a love language of mine), finding a new adrenaline activity to engage in (yes, I have bungee jumped and zip lined several times, and have sky dived with hopes of getting my free-fall license in the near future), watching a new documentary or Indian web series, or shredding some powder snowboarding on a mountain during the winters and paddleboarding on the water in the summers and truly just enjoy being a true PNW native! Other times, I keep myself busy by spending ample amount of quality time with my loved ones travelling to visit them and traveling the globe with them!
